Season Pass Options

When you set a Season Pass the following options are available:

Record Quality: The quality to use for the recordings - best, high, medium, or basic.

Keep At Most: This option allows you to specify the maximum number of recordings of this programme that TiVo should keep. You can select between one and five episodes, or all episodes. Once the maximum number of episodes has been recorded the oldest one is removed when a new episode is recorded (unless "Keep Until" is set to "Until I delete" in which case once the number of episodes is reached no more are recorded).

Show Type: This option is the source of some confusion. For a full explanation see the season pass page. Options are First Run and Repeats (record all episodes being aired), and First Run (records only episodes which are newly airing). Note this option should generally only be used when more than one season is airing at the same time on the same channel (eg Sky One often shows episodes from old seasons of The Simpsons, as well as new episodes from the latest season). For more details see here.

Keep Until: Option available are "Space needed" (recordings are saved as long as there is free space but may be removed if there is no space for new recordings), and "Until I delete" (recordings are saved until explicitly deleted).

Start Recording: Allows you to specify the number of minutes earlier than the scheduled start time that the recording should start. Options are: On-time, 1 min, 2 mins, 3 mins, 4 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins.

Stop Recording: Allows you to specify the number of minutes later than the scheduled end time that the recording should finish. Options are: On-time, 1 min, 2 mins, 5 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 3 hours.
