Recorder and Phone Setup

The Recorder and Phone Setup screen is accessed from the Message and Setup menu and allows you to set various configuration items:

Set-Top Box Control - allows you to configure control of your Set Top Box. TiVo can instruct your Set Top Box to change channels when it needs to record a programme. You can see a list of supported boxes here.

Phone Connection - allows you to configure phone dialling options (such as prefixes for an outside line). TiVo makes a free phone call each day to download new guide data. You can configure TiVo to only attempt a call when it detects that the line is not busy.

Phone Troubleshooting - provides assistance if you are having trouble getting TiVo to make its daily calls.

Remote Control Setup - provides information on how to configure your TiVo remote so it can control some of the functionality of your TV (power and volume).

SCART Settings - allows you to choose the volume level for the SCART output and to turn RGB output mode on or off. You can also control whether TiVo sends a signal to your TV to assert itself onscreen.

RF Output Channel - lets you choose which RF channel (21 to 69) TiVo will output on.
