Now Playing

The Now Playing menu can be accessed from TiVo Central or by pressing the TiVo button at the top of the remote twice. Here you can view all of the programmes that TiVo has recorded for you. You can view a programme whilst recording another one, you can even start to view the programme you are recording before it has finished recording. To watch any of the programmes simply highlight it with the black menu selector by using the cursor keys, and then press play. Press select to view more programme details.

Each programme in the list may have an icon to the left of the name which indicates:

  • Red circle - The programme is currently being recorded (a red LED on the front of the box also indicates that a recording is in progress).
  • Green circle - This programme has been marked as one that you wish to save and will only be deleted if you specifically ask to.
  • Yellow circle - This programme may be deleted in less than a day to make room for other programmes that you request (TiVo's suggestions will never be recorded at the expense of one of your explicit recordings).
  • Exclamation mark - This programme may be deleted at any time to make room for other programmes that you have requested which there is not enough free space for (TiVo's suggestions will never be recorded at the expense of one of your explicit recordings). If you want to make sure TiVo keeps the recording use the save until options.
  • TiVo icon - This is a programme from TiVo's suggestions that has been recorded for you. These programmes occupy space that you are not using and will be removed if that space is needed for your own recordings. If you find a suggested recording that you want to keep then use the save until options.

You can use the page up/down buttons on the remote to navigate through the Now Playing list a page at a time.

Some entries in the Now Playing list may have a channel logo to show which channel the recording was made from. Currently only logos for TiVo's partner channels are displayed.
