When you change channels you sometimes get a Bad Signal message.

There is a known issue due to the way dual tuner setups function (this affects people who do not have a dual tuner setup). If you enter the same channel number twice you will get a bad signal screen. Type in the channel a third time (or change channels) and you should get a picture back. For more information on this issue see here (opens in a new window).

If changing channels does not cause the bad signal message to disappear try rebooting your TiVo.
Check your cabling and try alternative cables. A loose wire may be cause issues.
