Your TiVo remote control is not working.

Try some new batteries and check they are inserted correctly. Even if your batteries are fairly new try some others. TiVo gets through batteries quicker than most remotes, and you may have had something resting on a button and drained them.
Try resetting your remote. Hold down the TiVo and Pause keys at the same time until the red light at the top comes on. Release the buttons and press the zero button. The red light should blink a few times then go out.
Reset your TiVo by pulling the plug out and then plug it back in.
Ensure that there are no remote controls operating in your room. Do not overlook this check - many users have had issues only to discover that one of their remotes was stuck under a cushion with a button pressed down. Make sure all of your remotes are accounted for!
If you have a wireless video sender, or a remote control extender in the room, then try turning these off. They can interfere with TiVo's remote controls. Some models have a sensitivity control which can be tweaked to prevent interference.
Try turning off all of the lights in the room. Some types of lights can cause issues with remote controls. If its daytime try pulling on the curtains to cut out sunlight.
You can purchase a replacement remote for £25 from TiVo Customer Services. Call them in the UK on 08702 41 84 86. If your remote is less than a year old you might be able to convince them to give you the remote for free.
TiVo's US Website have a TiVo Store which sells replacement remotes - including ones in different colours. Unfortunately they currently only ship within the US not internationally. You will need a friend in the US who can buy one for you and send it on.
