A number of minor cosmetic issues have been reported. These do not affect the functionality of TiVo but look odd:

• When Live TV is paused and the Standby button is pressed, the Standby help text shown does not cover the whole of the screen. The bottom part of the screen can still be seen.
• The new MPEG background for the alphabet chooser screens is higher than the other MPEG background being used. When the page is entered the whole screen appears to shift up. The TiVo logo also too high compared to other screens.
• When paging up and down the Now Playing page entries, sometimes for extremely long titles the last few pixels of the title are not cleared when you go to next page.
• When paging up and down the Now Playing page entries, the bottom right pixel of the day is sometimes left behind and not cleared properly.
• When paging up and down the ToDo list a couple of pixels from the right of the channel name get left on the screen.
• When paging up and down the ToDo list the top right black part of a Season Pass twin tick outline gets left on the screen.
• When paging up and down TiVo's Suggestions list the bottom right pixel of the day is sometimes left behind and not cleared properly.
• When paging up and down TiVo's Suggestions list, sometimes for extremely long titles the last few pixels of the title are not cleared when you go to next page.
• In the "Search By Title" screen when less than a page of entries match the chosen genre, a page up symbol is displayed even though there is no further page. Selecting page up makes an "ok" noise and the page up symbol disappears but the entries are unchanged. Pressing page up again gives a "bong" error sound.
• On the Wishlist list screen, when the number of entries in the list exceeds one page a down arrow is displayed under the list, however part of this is chopped off.
• After a software upgrade or guided setup, the message in Pick Programmes to Record saying some recording features are unavailable for 4-8 hours gets overwritten by the menu selector.
• The following screens use a different font in their title to all other screens which use a font with a shadow: Message Details, Season Pass Manager, Confirm Recording (manual recording) and Conflicts screen.
• The menu selector does not stretch to the far left side of the screen as it did in V1.5.x which looks odd.
• The IR setup help screen tells you to plug in the external IR emitter even if you are using the front blaster.
• The IR setup summary screen always lists the connection as "IR Blaster" even if it is "IR Emitter". Same error also exists on the System Info screen.
• The "Input Source" lines on the System Info screen are truncated and not wrapped so you can't easily tell what the setting is.
• If TiVo is in standby and you press a button on the remote (eg Slow Motion) the green "on" LED comes on but the unit remains off.
• The "Please Wait" message is not always centered in the same place and often appears to move around as one disappears and another immediately appears.

Grammatical errors:

• If you choose "View Upcoming Episode" for a Season Pass which has no upcoming episodes, you get "<prog name> has no upcoming episodes:". The sentence should end with a full-stop not a colon.
• In the padding options: "On time" is two words and should not be hyphenated.
• In the TV Audio screen in setup:"NICAM" is an acronym (Near Instantaneous Companded Audio Multiplex) and should be capitalised.
